Homegrown Hospitality
Thirteen years of weddings, fifteen partner venues, and a website that had stopped telling anyone.

The situation
Homegrown Hospitality has catered weddings and events since 2013, works with more than fifteen partner venues and counts ITV, McCain, Nestlé, Primark and DPD among its corporate clients. Sixteen named reviews already existed. But the site was dated, its reviews were doing little work, a footer link still carried a template placeholder and the homepage imagery was AI-generated rather than their own food.

Design direction
Two directions were built. One is quiet and editorial, letting real venues, real reviews and the directors' names carry the weight. The other is bolder and event-led, built for couples who make decisions on their phones between venue visits. Both keep the existing identity and surface the venue relationships as proof.

Designed for the phone first, not squeezed to fit it.
Most of the audience will meet the site on a phone. The mobile layouts are designed deliberately, with their own order, spacing and interactions.

UX approach
Reassurance does the selling for a wedding caterer long before the tasting does. Both concepts put the venues, the reviews and the people at the top of the page, and make the enquiry the obvious next step.
Drag to compare.
The site the business had, against the one designed for it. Same business, same facts, different first impression.

What was delivered
Two complete concepts with desktop and mobile versions, presented as a free redesign concept. This was not commissioned work.
About this concept. This was designed as a free redesign concept to show the business what its website could be. It was not commissioned, and the business has not endorsed it. The name, logo and photography belong to the business.
