The situation

The Yorkshire Graze Box makes grazing boxes, tables, boats and cups for gifts and events, with corporate clients including Unipol, BJSS, Cloud Nine, Somfy, Piglet in Bed and Lights4fun and genuine customer testimonials to show. Their Wix site had a Shop Now button with no checkout behind it, and the phone number and email were buried on a contact page.

Design direction

Two concepts were built so the owner could compare. The first is premium gifting: a working product page demonstration with a delivery date picker that respects a two-day lead time and blackout dates, a postcode checker and a basket drawer. The second is bold and event-led, switching between gifts and events with a single tab. Both use the real prices, from £35 for boxes and £200 for tables, and the real testimonials.

Mobile experience

Designed for the phone first, not squeezed to fit it.

Most of the audience will meet the site on a phone. The mobile layouts are designed deliberately, with their own order, spacing and interactions.

UX approach

The buying journey was the whole point: choose a box, pick a date the kitchen can actually make, check the postcode, add to basket. Everything else on the site exists to get people to that journey with enough confidence to complete it.

What was delivered

Two complete homepage and product page concepts with desktop and mobile versions, presented as a free concept. This was not commissioned work.

About this concept. This was designed as a free redesign concept to show the business what its website could be. It was not commissioned, and the business has not endorsed it. The name, logo and photography belong to the business.
