The situation

Melae Eleve arrived with a complete identity: a wordmark with a mirrored second word, an interlocked monogram and a tagline. What they did not have was a website, and the one they needed had to feel as deliberate as the brands they would go on to advise. It also had to be something they could run themselves afterwards, so every part of it was designed to map onto Squarespace.

Design direction

The direction is called The Mirror, and it comes straight from their own artwork. Espresso, taupe and ivory were sampled from the logo files rather than chosen from a palette. Headings sit in Cormorant Garamond at tight tracking with Josefin Sans for everything functional, which is the pairing their mark was already speaking in. Their own photography runs through the site with one consistent treatment so nothing looks borrowed.

Mobile experience

Designed for the phone first, not squeezed to fit it.

Most of the audience will meet the site on a phone. The mobile layouts are designed deliberately, with their own order, spacing and interactions.

UX approach

Seventeen pages including three service pages, a work section, process, journal, a full consultation form and a set of frequently asked questions. Anything that had not been confirmed by the client was left as a visible placeholder instead of being made up, which meant the review conversation was about real decisions rather than corrections.

Identity built from the client's own logo filesDidone heading with a geometric sansOne photographic treatment across every imageConsultation form with proper validationSquarespace-ready structure and CSSPlaceholders instead of invented claims

What was delivered

An approved prototype, a Squarespace build pack with the custom CSS, page map and prepared assets, and a static deploy package so the site could go live before the platform build was finished.
